2 Shot And Injured Near Rockville Metro Station

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Two young adults have been shot and wounded outside the Rockville Metro station. One suspect was taken into custody, and police were also looking for a second person.

Metro spokesman Dan Stessel says the shooting was reported just after 2:30 p.m. Friday outside the station.

The shooting did not affect service on the Red Line, where the Rockville station is located.

Police say a weapon was recovered and one suspect has been taken into custody. Police believe the suspect and victims knew each other.

Police say the injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening

The victims' names were not immediately released, and the circumstances of the shooting were being investigated.
