Man Sentenced To 25 Years In Home Invasion
CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) -- A Frostburg man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for a home invasion in which an 89-year-old woman was assaulted.
Twenty-nine-year-old Zachary Lee Winner was sentenced Wednesday for the Jan. 21 crime.
Police say Winner knocked on the door, displayed a handgun and forced his way into the woman's home. He knocked the victim to the floor, sat on her and yanked off her jewelry.
The Times-News of Cumberland reports that the woman suffered a broken hip, broken wrist and head lacerations.
