HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- A Frederick County man paralyzed during an attempted drug-related robbery in Hagerstown, which left one person dead, has been sentenced to 8 years in prison.

The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports 37-year-old Aaron Christopher Wolfkill pleaded guilty to attempted armed robbery and possession of a firearm Tuesday in Washington County Circuit Court. Wolfkill was paralyzed from a bullet to the back during a triple shooting in September 2014, which left 30-year-old Corey

Lee dead and 23-year-old Albert Diaz with wounds to his wrist and chest.

Diaz told police he arranged with a friend to purchase a large amount of marijuana and was attacked by Lee and Wolfkill before shooting them.

Court records say Diaz is scheduled for a jury trial in August on several charges, including second-degree murder.
