Man Dies In Crash After Driver Has Sneezing Attack

SALISBURY, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police say a passenger in a van died after the driver suffered a sneezing attack, lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree.

Troopers say Brian David Evans of Salisbury was traveling on east Route 50 about 1:30 p.m. Monday when he had a sneezing attack.

Police tell The Daily Times of Salisbury that the van hit an oak tree in the Route 50 median. A passenger, 30-year-old William Michael Brittingham, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Evans, 37,suffered six broken ribs and remains hospitalized.

Evans has been charged with reckless and negligent driving.
