WESTMINSTER, Md. (AP) -- Maryland State Police have arrested a man after he allegedly led authorities on a chase along Md. 26 in Carroll and Baltimore counties. 

Robert Rheubottom, 51, of Reisterstown has been charged with unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and theft. 

Troopers say early Monday, a Sykesville police officer tried to stop a pickup truck that had been reported stolen. The pursuit back, continued into Baltimore County and back into Carroll County. 

A Carroll County Sheriff's Office deputy deployed a device that blew out the truck's front tires.
