Lifetime Dog Licenses To Be Offered In Md. County
HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- The Washington County Commissioners have approved a new dog licensing fee schedule that will give residents the option of getting a lifetime license.
The fee schedule, approved Tuesday by a 3-2 vote, will take effect on Jan. 1.
The new schedule keeps the keeps the one-year license fee at $5, but introduces options for a two-year license for $9; a three-year license for $13; or a license for the lifetime of the dog for $25.
A dog will not be eligible for a lifetime license until its initial round of rabies shots and boosters is finished.
