Investigation Underway After Infant Dies Suddenly

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- An investigation is underway into the sudden death of an infant.

Mary Bubala has more.

The baby was only three months old.

It happened Tuesday morning in the 4000-block of The Alameda.

Police say the father placed his son in bed with him, fell asleep and then woke up to find his son unresponsive. He called 911 and emergency responders rushed to the scene.

The child was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital.

Police are not calling the death suspicious but a routine investigation is underway.
