Infant Cradle Swings Recalled Due to Fall Hazard
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- About 34,000 Fisher-Price brand cradle swings have been recalled because, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the seat can fall unexpectedly when a peg on the cradle is not fully engaged.
This recall includes three models of swings:
- CHM84 Soothing Savanna Cradle 'n Swing
- CMR40 Sweet Surroundings Cradle 'n Swing
- CMR43 Sweet Surroundings Butterfly Friends Cradle 'n Swing
Fisher-Price has received two reports of a seat peg coming out from the seat, causing the seat to fall, but no injuries have been reported.
The seats were sold at buybuyBaby, Target, Amazon.com and other websites from November 2015 through March 2016 for about $170.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cradle swing and contact Fisher-Price for revised assembly instructions.
Fisher-Price can be contacted at 800-432-5437 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, or online at www.service.mattel.com.
