If your name was Guerdwich Montimere...

You'd probably want to change it too.  Fascinating story that we talked about on the Ed Norris show this morning.  A kid named Jerry Joseph enrolls at the local junior high school as 15 year old in Odessa, Texas.  he then ends up at Permian high school.  You might of heard of Permian because that's the high school football team that the book "Friday Night Lights" was written about.  Since then a movie based on the book and an NBC TV series have come out.  So Jerry Joseph leads Permian to the District 2-5A state playoffs and earns newcomer of the year honors.  Theres only one problem 16 year old Jerry Joseph  is really 22 year old Guerdwich Montimere.  Montimere is a 22 year old naturalized US citizen from Haiti.  Not only did he pose as a youngster, but he was a homeless youngster that the head coach of the basketball team ends up taking in.  Montimere was arrested on charges of presenting false ID to a police officer.  Permian will likely have to forfeit the 2009 basketball season.  Sometimes the truth is more fun than fiction!!
