Hearing Scheduled For Man Charged In High School Shooting

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) -- A man accused of wounding two students outside a high-school basketball game in Maryland is asking that his trial be moved to another jurisdiction.

Twenty-one-year-old Brandon Tyler has a pretrial hearing Tuesday in Frederick County Circuit Court.

He's also seeking to postpone his trial, which is set to begin Nov. 17.

Tyler is charged with four counts of first-degree assault, use of a handgun in a felony, reckless endangerment and a conspiracy charge.

Police say he wounded two boys, ages 14 and 15, outside the Frederick High School gymnasium on Feb. 4.

Co-defendant Chandler Davenport pleaded guilty in August to two counts of reckless endangerment.
