Father, 7-Year-Old Son Recovering After Being Shot By Mother

DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ)—Police say a man and his 7-year-old son are recovering after they were shot by their estranged wife, mother on Saturday night.

It happened around 7:00 p.m. in the 7300 block of School Ave., in Dundalk.

According to investigators, a 30-year-old woman arrived at the residence to take her 7-year-old son when an argument ensued with her 31-year-old husband.

"The husband began to take their son inside the home when the wife pulled out a gun and fired, striking her husband in the upper body area and her son in the lower body area," police said.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The woman was taken into custody. She is not being identified at this time.

Police originality identified the victim has a 10-year-old boy.
