BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- A fatal crash is being investigated in Baltimore County.

A Honda Civic and a tractor trailer were involved in a collision Friday during rush hour, according to Maryland State Police.

It happened around 6 p.m. on southbound I-83, north of Mt. Caramel Road.

Investigators say the driver of the Honda lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail.

The driver of the tractor trailer was unable to stop, and struck the rear of the Honda.

The driver and two passengers of the Honda were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

A third passenger was flown to Shock Trauma, where he later died.
