Ex-Employee Admits To Stealing $200K In Jewelry

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A woman has admitted to stealing more than $200,000 worth of jewelry from the Arundel Mills store where she worked.

Susan Gibson, 68, of Catonsville pleaded guilty on Tuesday to theft over $100,000. She was sentenced to five years of supervised probation and ordered to pay $125,000 in restitution.

Prosecutors say over a period of three years, Gibson walked out of Last Call by Neiman Marcus with jewelry. A co-worker noticed the thefts and reported her suspicions to store security.

The Capital of Annapolis reports that a search of Gibson's home turned up 166 pieces of jewelry.
