Ed Reed's Presence Pays Off
First game back, pretty amazing stat line for Ed Reed: 2 interceptions and a forced fumble. That's what he brings. I'm not saying it was perfect. The defense got lit up for over 500 yards, including 374 yards passing. Ed Reed was responsible for some of the over the top help, so it was certainly on him too. But he makes plays. How else to explain a team that 2 interceptions in 6 games without him, and he gets that many all by himself in his first game back. At times, he didn't look like as fast as he's been, but remember, he has to do mini-camp, training camp, and pre-season all in one. I assume he'll get better as we go, but that's an impressive debut.
