Driver Dies After Vehicle Goes Over Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The driver of a tractor trailer is dead after his vehicle went off the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel, near the Eastern Shore in Virginia.
According to WTKR, the semi went off the bridge just after noon.
The driver was being taken to a hospital by helicopter, when he was pronounced dead.
Traffic on the bridge was closed for a time as crews worked to clear the scene.
