Dogs Beaten With Pipe Wrench In Texas By Contract Worker, Family Says
KINGWOOD, TX. (WJZ)—Mike Willcox and his family watched from 5-feet away as a contract worker appears to enter his property unannounced and beat his dogs with a pipe wrench.
He posted the surveillance video of the incident on Facebook which has been shared nearly 19,000 times.

Willcox says the incident happened back on April 10th when a CenterPoint Energy contract worker walked into their yard.
"A Centerpoint worker comes into our backyard never knocking on our door and wakes up our dogs," he says. "Then proceeds to hit them with pipe wrench."
In the video, you can see the dogs barking at the man followed by a swinging of a pipe wrench which injures the dogs.
"Anyone who has ever met our pets can tell you how they are non aggressive and never bitten anyone," says Willcox.
Willcox tells CBS affiliate KHOU that one of his Weimaraner bird dogs suffered a swollen jaw, concussion, accumulating to at least $2,000 in vet bills.
In a statement to KHOC, CenterPoint Energy released the following statement:
"We have determined that a CenterPoint Energy contractor was at this address on this date. CenterPoint Energy does not condone or tolerate abuse of animals by our employees or our contractors. We have notified the contract company and they have assured us that they will conduct a full investigation into the incident."
Willcox says the Houston Police Department are investigating this incident.
