District Heights Mayor Eddie Martin Convicted Of Misconduct In Office
DISTRICT HEIGHTS, Md. (WJZ) -- The Mayor of District Heights in Prince George's County was convicted of misconduct in office Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Mayor Eddie Martin used city money to purchase about $50,000 worth of fireworks.
While saying the fireworks were to be used by the city, Martin gave them to a friend for his personal use.
Martin will be sentenced in December.
