DC Police Investigating Man Found Shot In Car
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Police are investigating after a man was found shot in a car near Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens in northeast Washington.
The Metropolitan Police Department says the man was found Thursday at around 1 p.m. at the intersection of Anacostia Avenue NE and Ponds Street NE.
Police say emergency personnel were called but the man was dead. Police identified him as 37-year-old Anthony Larry Leak Jr. of Suitland, Maryland.
An autopsy determined the cause of death was the gunshot wound and that the case was a homicide.
