CSX Train Strikes Garbage Truck In Rosedale

ROSEDALE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities in Baltimore County say a CSX train hit a garbage truck at a Rosedale crossing, but no injuries were reported.

County police say the train hit the truck Friday morning at Schaefers Lane in an industrial area near Pulaski Highway and the train stayed on the tracks.

Another CSX train hit a vehicle at the same crossing in February, but there were no injuries reported and no derailment in that incident.

The crossing is one of four the National Transportation Safety Board recommended for safety improvements after a 2013 derailment and explosion involving a train carrying chemicals at a nearby crossing.
