BLOG: Summer Rain

With a slow-moving front located in the Great Lakes this morning, there'll be a tendency for a lot of moisture to get tapped into and deposited in the Eastern Region over the next four or five days.

While it will not rain "the entire time," we'll have to keep an eye on TWO FRONTS: One which will be reaching Maryland later Friday, and another one on Monday. Throw in a fairly potent and vigorous upper-level disturbance that will probably glide across the mid-Atlantic region later Saturday night or Sunday morning, and you've got a lot of unsettled weather to deal with over the next few days.

Some of the harder downpours could lead to some street and highway flooding, and flooding of poor-drainage areas is also possible. When it's not raining, it'll be rather uncomfortable with temperatures mostly in the 80s and moderately high humidity, especially Friday and on Saturday.
