BLOG: Allison Ranks Week 12
ALLISON RANKS! Week 12 :
1. New England Patriots- Tom Brady threw 4 TDs in the second half on Thanksgiving and finished with a perfect QB rating. Will he be able to get revenge against the Jets on Monday night and wrestle home field advantage from the team he hates?
2. Atlanta Falcons- The Falcons have not turned the ball over in a month while they continue to beat quality teams and are slowly gaining respect around the league.
3. San Diego Chargers- The Chargers D is just as good as their high-powered O. They forced Peyton Manning into 4 uncharacteristic interceptions and appear to be clicking on all levels at the right time in the season.
4. New York Jets- With all the big names the Jets have, it was Brad Smith who was the biggest star Thursday night as he single-handedly beat the hapless Bengals.
5. Baltimore Ravens- The Ravens still haven't played a complete game this season and who knows if they ever will. If they're going to pick a time to pull it all together, this week has to be the time.
6. Pittsburgh Steelers- The Steelers didn't win on Sunday, the Bills lost. Is Ben exaggerating his foot injury as a possible excuse for whatever happens this upcoming week in Baltimore?
7. Green Bay Packers- The Packers have an A-Rod I actually like and respect. I think the Packers like him as well.
8. New Orleans Saints- The Saints gave thanks for winning their first game ever on Thanksgiving.
9. Chicago Bears- The Bears D continues to dominate and forced Michael Vick into throwing his first INT of the season while Jay Cutler actually only threw passes to his own team.
10. Philadelphia Eagles- Vick had his second 300 yard passing game of the season on Sunday, but for all the Philly fans that started to believe they'd never lose again as long as Vick was in charge, they got a rude awakening Sunday.
11. Indianapolis Colts- There weren't many people left in the stadium to see the Colts lose to the Chargers. The injuries are really starting to catch up to the reigning AFC champs.
12. New York Giants- The struggling Giants needed every minute allowed to beat the Jags. I don't think the G-Men are enjoying being second-class citizens in their home city these days.
13. Kansas City Chiefs-Dwayne Bowe has something to say about the Chargers already being crowned AFC West Champs. He's now had at least one touchdown in the past 7 games.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- The Bucs showed that they're a good year or two away from being a real contender.
15. Houston Texans- Andre Johnson connected with Matt Schaub for 9 catches and connected with Cortland Finnegan's face for 3 punches.
16. Jacksonville Jaguars- Jacksonville is still tied for the lead in the AFC South since nobody wants to consistently win.
Bottom Feeder- There a bunch of teams that could qualify for this honor, but the only team that quits week after week is the good ol' Cincinnati Bengals. I'm feeling a Johnson/Finnegan-like brawl on the Bengals sideline sometime very soon. Stay tuned.
