BLOG: Harbaugh's New Deal

John Harbaugh just agreed to a contract extension, which is a good thing. I've been shocked at the amount of people critical of John Harbaugh. Can you imagine anyone calling for the head or questioning the quality of the job being done if the Orioles manager had taken his team to 3 straight playoffs and never won it all? People need to relax.  The man is the only coach in the NFL to win a playoff game each of the last 3 years.  He was an excellent hire, period.  Are there things that could be done better?  Sure, but find a coach that you couldn't expect that of around sports.  Bill Belichick, as great as he is, had the best record in the NFL this year, and lost his first playoff game.  The Patriots haven't done squat in the playoffs in 4 years. Be careful what you wish for, people.
