BLOG: Flacco's Big Game-What I Liked

It's obviously hard to find fault in much of anything about Joe Flacco's game vs. Kansas City. One of the things that really impressed me is how he had "amnesia". They often say this about closers in baseball, that you need a short memory after blowing a game.  Flacco showed some of that. He made some bad plays in the first half: the fumble at the goal line that he recovered, a fumble he lost,  a couple of near interceptions, even some sacks maybe he shouldn't have taken. Some players would have let that stick in his head.  But Flacco didn't let any of that bother him. He hung in there and played a superb game. People expect too much of a him because he had so much success early on. He's in just his third year, and he played at Delaware. So the learning curve is still trending up for Flacco.  A game like this is another step in that direction.
