BLOG: April 1

Sunday/Sunday night: Clouds will probably yield to a few peeks of sun Sunday morning into the early afternoon, which should allow temps to rise well into the low to mid 60s. Thickening clouds and showers will arrive toward suppertime (rain expected after dark) as low pressure and its attendant fronts move from the upper Great Lakes Sunday morning to off the New Jersey Coast by midnight. The showers will continue through around midnight with rain totals of between 0.10 and 0.30 inches expected. Increasing winds from the northwest in the wake of the low will bring drier and cooler air after midnight.

Monday: Winds are the big news as active breezes from the north-northwest average from 15-20 mph and gust to near 30 mph. Winds will subside later in the afternoon. Skies will be mostly sunny. Temps should reach the low 60s.

Tuesday: A weak zone of high pressure will move over the Eastern Seaboard and bring lighter winds and ample sunshine. It will be milder, with highs near 70. (cooler along the Bay).

Wednesday-Saturday: Large high pressure over eastern Canada will promote clear, chilly nights (frost outside of city) and mostly sunny, breezy days with cool to mild conditions, but still some lingering warmth on Wednesday.

Sunday: Sunshine and most likely warmer !!! (near 70?)
