Best Wildlife Areas In Maryland

If you want to see wild animals that aren't in cages, you need to head to a wildlife sanctuary or refuge.  Here are five in Maryland.

Chesapeake

Chesapeake Wildlife Sanctuary

The Chesapeake Wildlife Sanctuary gives tours on the second Saturday of each month.  That's $5 a person.  They need volunteers.  They offer classes; check the website for more information.

Patuxent Research Refuge

At Patuxent Research Refuge, you can hunt (during hunting season), fish and  observe animals on a guided bird or nature walk.  They have a wetland and Wildlife Viewing Area.
