Best Museums In Maryland

No matter what you're interested in, odds are you'll find an exhibit about it in Baltimore.  Here are five of the best museums in the city.

Baltimore Museum of Art

Baltimore Museum of Art has exhibits on Andy Warhol, European art and modern sculpture, among others.  It's free to get in, but some of the exhibits cost money to see.


Baltimore Tattoo Museum

The Baltimore Tattoo Museum offers a look into the history of tattoos, as well as photographs of some of the tattoos done throughout the years.  You can also get a tattoo there, if you're so inclined.


Geppi's Entertainment Museum

Geppi's Entertainment Museum has changing exhibitions.  Until the end of 2010, you can see an exhibit on zombies, for example.  Tickets are $10 but are half-price on Tuesdays, Thursdays and game days.


Maryland Science Center

If you're interested in science, this is the place to be.  In addition to a variety of exhibits, they have a planetarium and IMAX theater.  Visit the website for more information.


The Walters Art Museum

The Walters currently features an exhibit on toys but will soon have ones on German drawing and "Relics from Heaven," among others.  The Walters is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
