The Di Pasquale family, like many of the other Italian grocery and delicatessen owners in Baltimore, have passed the business down from generation to generation. This Highlandtown/ Patterson Park institution has been in business since 1914. Dine in at the small cluster of tables, carry out, shop for Italian specialty items, produce, cheeses - Di Pasquale's has it all. Housemade sausages, aricini, mozzarella and imported meats should be on your shopping list. Don't miss the brick-oven pizzas and good selection of wines.

Opened originally by the Mastellone family in 1964, the shop was bought out by none other than Joe Di Pasquale of Di Pasquale's on Gough Street a number of years back. This Hartford Road Italian grocery has been offering fresh-baked bread, imported meats, housemade mozzarella, Italian kitchen staples and a nice selection of wines. One great specialty not to miss is its meatball sub. This hearty mix of meat and cheese will have you wiping your face clean with delight.

Pastore's Italian Deli in Baltimore's Towson/Loch Raven neighborhood has its roots in Little Italy where the grandfather was an importer back in 1868.
