Baltimore Raven Cory Redding Emphasizes Teamwork As A Guest Speaker
BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) -- Teamwork is key both on and off the field for Ravens defensive lineman Cory Redding.
Andrea Fuji explains that is why he was selected for a special speaking engagement.
Redding has been with the Baltimore Ravens for just two years but in that time he's made a name for himself.
That's why he was asked to be the guest speaker at Thursday night's Reisterstown/Owings Mills/Glyndon Chamber of Commerce chapter night.
"It's not about what I do at the end of the day; it's about that I helped someone along the way be better," said Redding.
The theme for the night,"Get in the Game," focused on the importance of teamwork, a strategy Redding lives by as he tries to help communities when the cameras aren't rolling.
"A lot goes unnoticed because I don't like a lot of media attention because it's more meaningful to be in the dark than in the light," Redding said.
Redding also spends a lot of time with his foundation, which supports quality education and social programs for those at risk.
Redding is currently an unrestricted free agent.
