Baltimore Police Seek Help In Finding Missing Teen

BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) — Baltimore Police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing 16-year-old girl who was last seen at school Wednesday.

Police say 16-year-old Kennedi High does have autism, but she is high-functioning and her autism does not prevent her from doing daily tasks.

"There is no indication that there was an abduction," says T.J. Smith with Baltimore City Police.

Smith says police are"exploring the sex trafficking and human trafficking angle," because of her missing girl's age.

There were prior reports that she could possibly be in Mountain View, California, but police are turning away from that possibility due to the timeline of events to which police believed Kennedi was in California.

Kennedi High, a student at Western High in Baltimore, is African-American, 5'7" and weighs 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing black pants, white shirt, a black puff coat, black Ugg boots and red glasses.

At a press conference, Sunday, police spokesman T.J. Smith said police deal with multiple missing persons reports every day, but High's case presents additional causes for concern. Her family indicated that her autism might prevent her from questioning suspicious circumstances.
