Baltimore Police Commissioner Announces 'Prescription Take Back Day'
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Interim Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis and Health Commissioner Leana Wen are promoting the annual event run by the DEA called "Prescription Take Back Day," where communities across the country provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications.
On Saturday, September 26, Baltimore residents can drop off unwanted, unneeded or expired prescription drugs for at any of local police district office between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Last year over 8,000 pounds of unwanted medication was collected across the state of Maryland.
