Baltimore Mayor's Campaign Raises $1.4M
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake has raised about $800,000 for her mayoral campaign in the most recent reporting period that began in mid-January.
Rawlings-Blake's campaign announced Monday that the amount is part of more than $1.4 million raised since Jan. 1. The campaign has spent about $970,000 and has about $675,000 on hand heading into the Sept. 13 Democratic primary
Rawlings-Blake ascended to office last year when Sheila Dixon resigned amid scandal. Her Democratic challengers include State Sen. Catherine Pugh, former Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors Vice President and councilman Joseph "Jody" Landers, former city planning director and Dixon chief of staff Otis Rolley and perennial candidate Circuit Court Clerk Frank Conaway.
Candidate finance reports are due before midnight Tuesday. Other candidates did not release information ahead of the deadline day.
