Baltimore Firefighters Give Boy the Gift of Music
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A crash scene in Baltimore over the weekend paved the way for a moving moment between firefighters and a young bystander.
While Engine 33 was working a crash near the corner of Washington Street and Lafayette Avenue on Sunday, pump operator Dorsey spotted a boy watching fire crews while playing air drums using only a pair of drum sticks, according to a post on the Baltimore City Fire Department Facebook post.
Afterward, when asked whether he had a drum set to practice on, the child said he did not.
The story could have ended there. But instead, Dorsey and the Engine 33 crew dropped by on Tuesday to give a spare snare drum and stand to Tywon "who will now be able to keep his neighbors up all night," according to the post.
