Baltimore Co. Police ID One Suspect Involved In Departmental Shooting

BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)—Baltimore County Police have identified one of the suspects involved in a departmental shooting on Thursday morning.

Around 2:00 a.m. Thursday police say they stopped a vehicle suspected to be involved in narcotics activity at Old Eastern Ave and Harrison Ave.

According to investigators, a man exited his vehicle and began walking towards Eastern Blvd. when he stopped. The suspect vehicle then turned onto Harrison Ave and pulled into a parallel position to the officer's car.

Police say that man then suddenly placed his hand on his waist and turned toward the officer which caused them to open fire on the suspect. It's still unknown how many times the man was shot, but police say he was shot at least once.  He remains hospitalized and is expected to survive.

During the investigation police also arrested 29-year-old Timothy Dudeck. He was driving the suspect vehicle, police said.

When detectives searched Dudeck they say they found suspected Oxycodone pills, suspected Cocaine, and over $1800 in cash on his person. When detectives obtained a search warrant for the suspect vehicle and searched it, they found a handgun, a scale, and more than $400 in cash.

Dudeck is charged with possession of CDS with intent to distribute, firearms violations, and other related charges. He was released on $100,000 bail.

Police say charges are still pending for the man shot by police.

Video obtained by WJZ shows the moments leading up to the gunfire by police.
