Back to school beauty for kids headed back to school in Balitmore

Get ready for an outstanding stretch of weather for the first half of the new work and school week. Showers and storms will return Thursday and continue on and off through the weekend. 

Nice weather continues in Baltimore for the first day of school

Baltimore City, Howard, Anne Arundel, Queen Anne's and Talbot County Schools are back on Monday in varying capacities. Monday morning has been extremely comfortable with early morning temperatures in the 50s and 60s. 

Under plenty of sunshine, temperatures warm into the lower 80s on Monday afternoon, with low humidity. The same general weather, lows in the 60s and highs in the low to mid-80s, will continue through the middle of the week. 

Humidity remains low through Wednesday afternoon. While there could be a stray shower or two over the next few days, most of the time looks rain-free. 

Stormy weather returns to Maryland late this week

The chance of unsettled weather goes back up as we head into the end of the week. The chance of wet weather starts to creep up as early as Wednesday night, with a bigger spike on Thursday and Friday afternoons.

Afternoon temperatures will also nudge back up into the upper 80s. It will feel a little hotter with increasing humidity factored in.

An early look at the Ravens' pre-season game against the Washington Commanders includes temperatures in the mid-80s and a chance of scattered showers and storms. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. at M&T Bank Stadium. The First Alert Weather Team will continue fine-tune the forecast as Friday approaches. 

Right now the wettest day of this upcoming stretch looks to be Thursday with some heavier showers and storms. We'll see more on and off chances for storms through the weekend with another spike in rain chances Sunday afternoon and evening.
