AAA: Speed Cameras Are Still Operating In School Zones Even Though Most Students Learning Remote
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Most students are still learning remotely right now, but school zone speed cameras are still operating.
AAA said drivers are surprised to see tickets come in the mail.
The fine is $40 for going above the speed limit by at least 12 mph.
State law allows the system to operate from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays.
Agencies said the camera monitor speed on holidays too, so watch out on Christmas and New Years Day.
