A Soggy Saturday across Maryland to start the weekend

It's a tale of two forecasts for the weekend with rain and clouds for Saturday and mostly sunny skies and drier conditions on Sunday.

A Soggy Saturday

After a top 10 summer weather day, humidity is set to creep back into the forecast Friday night into Saturday. Some areas may wake up to fog Saturday morning.

Rain showers return to Maryland heading into Saturday morning. Off-and-on showers are expected through the day. The heaviest rain is expected toward southern Maryland and the Eastern Shore. Highs on Saturday will top out in the upper 70s. Sunday's high temperatures will reach the middle 80s. Rain and storms will be scattered Saturday afternoon before another wave of showers - and a few storms - Saturday evening into Sunday morning prior to daybreak. Tomorrow is trending drier along with falling humidity through most of the day.

Early Fall-like weather for the first day of school

Monday marks the first day of school for several school districts in the Baltimore area including the City of Baltimore, Howard County, and in several districts on the Eastern Shore. The weather will be almost ideal as students head back to the classroom with dry afternoons, cooler temperatures, and low humidity through midweek.

The chance for unsettled weather goes back up as we head into the end of the week.
