77-Year-Old Norris Assam Killed In Crash Near Overlea
OVERLEA, Md. (WJZ) -- A 77-year-old man died in a single-vehicle crash near Overlea Tuesday morning, police said.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Kenwood Avenue and Lillian Holt Drive.
Police said the driver, Norris Carl Assam, of Rosedale, was heading west on Kenwood Avenue and failed to stop at a red light. The vehicle then hit a light pole.
Assam was taken to an area hospital where he died, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
