3-Week-Old African Pygmy Goats Debut At Maryland Zoo

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Maryland Zoo's new pygmy goats just made their public debut.

Linh Bui reports the adorable additions are already winning over visitors.

Clark and Chloe are now three weeks old. They're in great health, and their personalities are starting to come out.

Each day, it's a new experience. Today's lesson? Stay out of the rain.

That's Clark with the white "V" on his forehead. His sister Chloe has the off-centered white spot.

But there are other ways to tell them apart:

"The male wants to stick near mom. He gets nervous and scared and then wants to go and nurse and have that comfort. The female is much more brave and rides mom for fun, hops up on her back and rides her around the yard," said Erin Cantwell, The Maryland Zoo.

Chloe was the one interested in our camera, while Clark tried to hide. But both kids are full of energy.

They're now about 10 pounds, and visitors will love watching them grow up.

"It's great! They're really fun, they're really personable. They're a great thing to come out and watch," Cantwell said. "And every day, they'll be doing something different. And every day, they'll look a little bit different and they'll be growing. So if you continue to come back, you can kind of watch their progression. They're hysterical."

You can see Chloe and Clark at the farmyard every day.

The goats were born back on March 10.
