3 Killed In Prince George's Co. Crash
OXON HILL, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police say alcohol and speed were factors in an early-morning crash that killed three people on Indian Head Highway.
The crash occurred just after 3 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of Route 210 and Wilson Bridge Road.
Police says a GMC Yukon rear-ended a Mazda 3, sending it off the road and into a tree.
The Mazda's driver, Eugene Johnson, 53, of Manassas, Va., and two passengers, Gwendolyn Demby , 52, of Manassas, Va., and another woman, were pronounced dead on the scene. A fourth passenger was injured, but is expected to survive.
Police say the Yukon's driver and passenger both appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, but neither was injured. The driver is in custody, but has not been formally charged.
