2nd Suspect Arrested In Towson Liquor Store Robbery
TOWSON, Md. (WJZ) -- A second suspect has been arrested in a Towson Liquor Store robbery from earlier this month.
Baltimore County Police charged 25-year-old Hayes Sample Jr. of the 600 block of W. Hoffman St. in Baltimore of armed robbery, first degree assault and related charges.
Police say Sample and 25-year-old Claude Edward Mayo entered Towson Wine & Spirits just before 7 p.m. on Dec. 7 and announced they were robbing the store with a gun.
The 68-year-old clerk instead retrieved his handgun and shot at the suspects -- killing Mayo.
Sample fled on foot.
He is held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $3.5 million bail. His booking photo is posted below.
