$20K Reward Offered In Death Of Ft. Meade Soldier

SEVERN, Md. (WJZ)—A $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest in the death of Ft. Meade soldier.

Back on August 25, 2015, 24-year-old Karlyn Serane Ramirez was found shot to death inside her Severn townhome. Her five month old daughter was found unharmed inside.

Ramirez was an active member of the U.S. Army stationed at Fort Meade.

Investigators say she was married, but lived with her daughter in the Severn home alone.

"We have spoken to her husband. We've conducted interviews with her husband. We're still investigating any leads that we have with the husband and family members," said Frashure, in a previous interview.

An Army spokesperson tells WJZ Ramirez was originally from Del Rio, Texas. She had just come to Fort Meade in December of 2014, and received four service medals.

Anne Arundel County Police are expected to official announce the $20,000 reward offer on Tuesday during a press conference.

They ask anyone with any information in this case to please come forward.
