2 Workers Hit At Md. Car Wash; 1 Dead

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- One carwash worker is dead and another is in critical condition after they were hit and dragged by a car in Rockville.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Assistant Chief Scott Graham says a car leaving the Flagship Carwash on Hungerford Road on Wednesday evening suddenly accelerated and hit the two men. The car dragged the men across the road, where it came to rest against a utility pole.

Firefighters were able to quickly free the men trapped beneath the car. The men were taken to an area trauma center, where Graham says one of them died.
