2 Teens Shot At Rockville Metro, 2 Charged
ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Police say two teens have been charged in the shooting of two other teens at the Rockville Metro station.
Officers called to the station Friday afternoon for a report of a possible shooting found two wounded teens. Police say a 16-year-old boy who was shot in the leg, was the intended target, and an unrelated 18-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet. Police say their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Police arrested two Rockville boys, aged 16 and 17, and charged them with attempted first-degree murder, conspiracy, assault and a weapons offense. Both are charged as adults. Police say they believe the 16-year-old boy was the shooter.
Investigators believe that the shooting may have been motivated by an ongoing dispute or disagreement.
