2 Md. Children Die After Being Found In Bathtubs
BELTSVILLE, Md. (AP) -- Prince George's County police are investigating the death of a child who was found in unresponsive in a bathtub, the second such death in the county in a 24-hour period.
Police spokeswoman Julie Parker says police were called to an apartment in the 11300-block of Evans Trail in Beltsville on Tuesday morning for a report of a 10-month-old boy who was found unresponsive in a tub. Parker says the boy was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say a 6-year-old girl also was found unresponsive in a bathtub in the Landover area on Monday night, and was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Authorities say they do not suspect foul play in either case.
