2 Killed, 3 Hurt In Single-Vehicle Crash In Md.
BETHESDA, Md. (AP) -- Montgomery County Police say two people were killed and three were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Bethesda.
It happened about 2:50 a.m. Sunday on Jones Bridge Road. Officers say an SUV was traveling west when it left the road, traveled over a sidewalk, then hit a fence and a tree.
A male passenger and a female passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore and was in serious condition. Two other passengers were taken to Suburban Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The victims were not identified, pending notification of relatives. The crash is under investigation.
