2 Facing Charges In Murder, Multiple Robberies, In Two Counties
BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ)—Two people are facing a slew of charges in connection with a murder and six robberies in Harford and Baltimore Counties respectively.
Police say 33-year-old Walter Dorsey has been charged with two counts of robbery and four counts of armed robbery in connection with six robbery incidents in Baltimore County. Dorsey's girlfriend, 28-year-old Lauren Valiquet, was also charged with one count of robbery during one of the six incidents.
The incidents include:
November 5, 2015: 7-Eleven, 7600 block of Belair Road 21236
November 7, 2015: 7-Eleven, 8000 block of Belair Road 21236
November 11, 2015: Baskin Robbins, 2300 block of East Joppa Road 21234
November 13, 2015: Subway, 1600 block of East Joppa Road 21234
November 14, 2015: 7-Eleven, 8600 block of Pleasant Plains Road 21286
November 15, 2015: Dunkin Donuts, 6300 block of Kenwood Avenue 21237
In an unrelated incident, Dorsey and Valiquet are both facing murder charges after a man was found dead in August in Harford County.
According to investigators, on August 12, 2015, police found the decomposing body of Travis Best, 34, next to the Elks Lodge near the Harford Boat Club Road.
A preliminary investigation has revealed that Best planned to visit his estranged wife, Lauren Valiquet, when Dorsey was also at the same location.
The Medical Examiner's Office says Best was shot to death. Both Dorsey and Valiquet are charged with first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and firearm use in commission of a felony.
Both suspects are currently being held in Baltimore County at this time.
