1 Dead; Another Injured in Early Morning Crash

BALTIMORE (WJZ)-- A man died early Saturday morning after a woman he was riding with collided with a BGE pole, according to Baltimore City Police.

Around 3:46 a.m., officers were called to the 1200 block of Cherry Hill Road for a car crash. The 53-year-old female driver and 50-year-old male passenger were transported to area hospitals where the man later died.

Investigators learned the collision was a single vehicle accident. The vehicle was traveling westbound in the 1200 block of Cherry Hill Road when it lost control and crossed the double yellow line.

The 53 year-old female driver sustained abdominal injuries and remains hospitalized.
