1 Dead After 4-Car Crash In Oxon Hill

OXON HILL, Md. (AP) -- Police in Prince George's County are investigating a four-car crash in Oxon Hill in which one man died.

Police say they were called to the 7400-block of Indian Head Highway around 3:30 a.m. Saturday and that arriving officers pronounced one of the drivers dead at the scene. Police say a preliminary investigation suggests the deceased driver was struck by another car shortly after making a U-turn. That crashed caused secondary collisions, and two other people were transported to hospitals to be treated for injuries. Those injuries do not appear to be life threatening.

Police say alcohol and speed appear to be factors in the crash. An investigation is ongoing. Police did not release the name of the driver who died.
