1 Critically Injured In Annapolis Crash

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WJZ) -- A 25-year-old man was critically injured in a crash along Shore Acres Road in Arnold Tuesday morning.

According to Anne Arundel County police, the crash happened around 12:13 a.m. near Four Acres Court.

A police investigation determined that a silver, four-door Mercedes sedan was traveling northbound on Shore Acres Road when it left the roadway, struck & severed a utility pole and overturned.

The driver, Eric Angelo Tyler, Jr. of Annapolis, was taken to Shock Trauma with life-threatening injuries.

Police says preliminary the cause of the crash appears to be the driver's failure to remain in the single lane due to excessive speed.
