North Texas to soon catch a break from severe weather

Large hail, damaging winds remain main threats for parts of North Texas Saturday

NORTH TEXAS (CBSNewsTexas.com) — The threat for severe storms continues for parts of North Texas until 2 a.m. Sunday as storms from Southern Oklahoma may drift south. 

The main threats for any of these storms will be gusty winds and hail.

Otherwise, we'll finally get a break from severe weather tomorrow! 

Very early, we could see some storms for areas north and east but the rest of Father's Day looks hot and dry. 

Heat Advisories and Excessive Heat Warnings will continue into Sunday and it wouldn't be surprising to see these extended into Monday as feels-like temperatures will once again be well into the triple digits.

It will be hot for the upcoming work week but on the bright side, we'll get a much needed break from severe weather and thunderstorms. Now will be the time of year we'll see how many different ways we can say, "It'll be hot and dry!"
